Introduction to Plain English

Introduction to Plain English is for anyone who wants to understand what plain English is, why we should use it, and how to use its basic principles.

 

As you work through this course, you will complete exercises and get immediate feedback on your progress. You will also do assessments at the start and the end of the course, and get individual feedback from your tutor at the end.

 

To achieve the best results for this online course, allow 6 or 7 hours, spread over a week.

 

In Introduction to Plain English, you will learn some basic plain English principles, such as:

• identifying the purpose of your document
• choosing appropriate content
• building paragraphs around a central idea
• writing short sentences
• using appropriate words
• choosing effective layout
• ensuring your document is accurate.

5–19 people	$235 + GST each
20–39 people	$170 + GST each
40+ people	$135 + GST each
